1. Warranty Coverage:

A. New Installations:

• Motors: Roller Shutter Newcastle provides a 4-year warranty on motors installed as part of a new roller shutter garage door system. After the initial 4-year period, this warranty can be extended by one year with each service conducted by Roller Shutter Newcastle, provided the service occurs within 12 months of the last service and in line with our recommendations.

• Roller Garage Door Parts: A 2-year warranty is provided on all parts of the roller garage door system. After the initial 2-year period, this warranty can be extended by one year with each service conducted by Roller Shutter Newcastle, provided the service occurs within 12 months of the last service and in line with our recommendations.

B. Motor Replacements on Existing Doors:

• Replacement Motors: When a motor is replaced on an existing roller garage door, Roller Shutter Newcastle provides a 2-year warranty on the motor. This warranty takes into account the wear and tear on the existing parts, which may affect the lifespan of the new motor. After the initial 2-year period, the warranty on the replacement motor can be extended by one year with each service conducted by Roller Shutter Newcastle, provided the service occurs within 12 months of the last service and any necessary repairs are completed as recommended.

2. Conditions for Warranty Extension:

To extend the warranty beyond the initial warranty periods:

• Optional Annual Service After Warranty Period: Following the expiration of the initial warranty period, you have the option to extend the warranty for an additional 12 months. This extension is conditional upon the completion of a service and inspection by Roller Shutter Newcastle. The extension will be granted based on the service outcome and any necessary repairs or maintenance recommended during the service.

• Service Records: Each service will be documented by Roller Shutter Newcastle, and maintaining these records is necessary for the warranty to be extended.

3. Warranty Exclusions:

This warranty does not cover:

• Damage or malfunction caused by improper use, neglect, or unauthorized repairs.

• Damage resulting from external factors such as weather, accidents, or natural disasters.

• Normal wear and tear on parts expected to degrade over time, such as batteries and light bulbs.

4. Voiding of Warranty:

The warranty will be void if:

• The mandatory annual service by Roller Shutter Newcastle is not completed.

• Any unauthorized repairs or modifications are made to the installed parts or motors.

5. Use of New, Reconditioned, or Second-Hand Parts:

At Roller Shutter Newcastle, we strive to replace any faulty components with brand-new parts whenever possible to ensure the highest quality and longevity. However, in cases where the required parts have been discontinued or are unavailable, we may use high-quality reconditioned or second-hand parts. These parts are carefully selected to meet our stringent quality standards and ensure that they perform reliably and effectively in your roller shutter system.

6. Making a Warranty Claim:

If you experience any issues with the installed components, please contact Roller Shutter Newcastle immediately. We will inspect the problem and, if it is covered under the warranty, repair or replace the defective parts at no cost to you.

7. Limitations:

• Original Purchaser Only: This warranty is non-transferable and is limited to the original purchaser.

• Service by Roller Shutter Newcastle: The warranty is valid only if all services are performed by Roller Shutter Newcastle.

8. Liability:

Roller Shutter Newcastle’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the installed parts or motors.
